![]() So here are two solutions to getting epstopdf to work in TexStudio. usr/local/texlive/2015/bin/x86_64-darwinĪll I had to do was change the 2013 to 2015. ![]() In TexStudio, open Preferences, tick the 'Show Advanced Options' checkbox in the lower left corner, select 'Build' from the list on the left, and then in edit 'Additional Search Paths' to match your commands path. Since the problem was that epstopdf is not in the command path of TexStudio, it occurs to me: why not change the path that TexStudio is searching in? However, during some other digging afterwards, I stumbled over another, cleaner solution. MacTeX installs Ghostscript, an open source version of Postscript. MacTeX also installs the GUI programs TeXShop, LaTeXiT, TeX Live Utility, and BibDesk. TeX Live is compiled from the same sources for all platforms: Macintosh, Windows, Linux, Unix. With the above, things worked and the pdf compiled successfully. TeX Live is maintained by TeX User Groups across the world. Ghostscript may also be needed, so install that as well: PSPS: requiring epstopdfpackage declared and. brew install ghostscript WHooo, texstudio generated pdf as I expected. the epstopdf complained that ghostscript is not installed. Ln -s /usr/local/texlive/2015/texmf-dist/scripts/epstopdf/ /usr/local/bin/epstopdf The problem is that the EPS to PDF conversion is somehow broken: usepackagepdftex. The epstopdf package is not found in the PATH where TexStudio is searching in, so the solution they offer is to link the epstopdf package in /usr/bin/epstopdf: However, an answer on describes what the problem is, and the solution. Package f Error: File `sample-eps-converted-to.pdf' not found. This is one of the issues I came across with a fresh install of TexStudio (2.10.0) on Mac OS X (10.10.5).
